Sourires d'Enfants

Our story

Created in June 1996 by two friends, Florence Nguyen-Rouault and Muriel Provost, our association has grown over the years while remaining a human-scale organisation, faithful to the principles of our commitment.

Having both been involved in development projects in Vietnam, Florence and Muriel decided to create Sourires d'Enfants in order to provide lasting help to children from ethnic minorities in the central highlands of Vietnam, isolated populations living in conditions of extreme poverty. Muriel Provost continued to develop the association until 2003. Nadine Collonge was also involved in the development of Sourires d'Enfants from 1999 to 2014. Florence Nguyen-Rouault is still a member of the Board and President of the association.

We then developed our activities in the north of Vietnam from 2003 to 2012 and in the south of Laos from 2012. We have also been working in Benin since 2019.
