We have opened 15 canteens in our schools in Laos, all equipped with vegetable gardens and small livestock. These income- and food-generating activities are essential to ensure the sustainability of our actions. With the help of their teachers, elementary school pupils devote several hours a week to tending their vegetable gardens and caring for their chickens. Thanks to their efforts, they'll be able to eat good vegetables and fresh eggs :-)
