We invite you to sponsor schoolchildren in Benin to support them in their education. Behind every sponsorship, there is a child, a family, a story! Today we would like to introduce you to Amandine, aged 11, who recently started school for the first time in CE1. Living in extreme poverty, her parents were forced to leave Benin to work in agriculture in Niger. They took their two eldest children with them to work with them and left the three youngest, who were too young to leave their mother. Only Amandine remained in her native village of Tekâoutè in northern Benin with her grandmother, who wants her to go to school 🏫 Thanks to Laure, who decided to sponsor Amandine, school supplies and clothing were provided by Les Mille Lucioles, a Beninese association and our local partner 😊
